I recommend! I have been playing organ for more than a decade. My wife asked me to teach piano to her. Music is a hobby to me, so I bought the Standard Edition and the Workshops. I transform myself in a teacher to my wife and I started to study the piano; cool. My four stars is due to the poor image. I suggest next edition in better quality, HD.On Amazon.com the photograph of Learn & Master Piano is of an earlier edition (between 2007 and 2010). It contains 14 instructional DVDs (not 20 as described by Amazon). Newer editions (since 2010) of Learn & Master Piano do have 20 DVDs in their Expanded Editions (same total content as was on the 14 DVD, 2007-2009 versions). Newer Standard Editions have only 10 DVDs and the Piano Workshops (10 more DVDs) must be purchased separately to equal the Expanded Edition.SUMMARY: Older editions (pre 2010) have 14 DVDs and the Piano Workshops are included. Newer STANDARD Editions have 10 DVDs and the Piano Workshops are sold separately. Newer EXPANDED Editions have 20 DVDs which include the Piano Workshops.Confusing?? Yes, it can be. I hope my comment helps to clear things up.I like this product alot and I'm not going to list out all the great things the other reviewers already pointed out.However, I feel the need to post a review to point out that even though the product picture shows 2 boxes, what you are really getting is 1 box (10 DVD and 5 play along, interestingly the picture does show the correct count of discs). I know the description does say 10 DVD and 5 playalong but it's hard to "see it" unless you are aware of it.The 2nd box that doesn't come with this purchase is 10 DVD of workshop; which you'll find if you look for it "Learn & Master Piano Bonus Workshops by Will Barrow", it's another $89, which makes the complete package a $180 (give or take since Amazon prices change often) purchase.Amazon actually doesn't carry the full 2 boxes package (as of the time of this review), you will however find the original edition with 14 DVD and 5 playalong CD package going for around $170ish.If you go to learn and master [...], you'll find that the full package costs $149 (20 DVD, 5 playalong).What a great software. Bought this for my musically talented wife. Tried it myself who has almost no musical talent and amazed myself. Definitely for someone that wants to be able to advance from beginner to maybe even a great player. No "chop sticks", or "Mary had a little lamb" with this software. It is pleasant music from the start.I like the program. The person presenting is very knowledgeable. I gave it 4 stars because I thought I was getting the complete course. This is a scales down version of the complete course. You can upgrade afterwards, but I would have purchased the full set if it had been explained clearer.This main book is exactly what I needed in order to start learning how to play the piano. The lessons are easy and you can always repeat any lesson. The instructor uses direct and very simple knowledge and facts in helping you understand the piano.Reasonable Hood deal.I am on Session 4 and I am amazed at how well I am able to follow the instructions! The Workshop sessions are really important. I originally purchased the set that didn't include the workshops but sent away for the workshops later. I don't think I would be as successful had I not done that.A pleasant programme to work with. I enjoy the background music which you play along with and it increases motivation.A good productI’ve searched long and hard for a complete set of piano lessons online, going through YouTube and frankly wasting time. As an adult learner, after wasting decades of my time trying to learn guitar (and getting somewhere) I’ve realized that learning few bits and pieces here and there doesn’t get me anywhere. I have to learn the stuff in a structured way from the very beginning and this course delivers fully. It’s complete and will get you playing quickly. Videos, instructions and the book are top class. I can already see my improvement and I’m astonished by my quick progress (maybe the guitar experience helped a bit). This set DOES NOT come with the 10 workshop DVDs (this is the standard edition) but if you can afford the extended set with the workshops, I strongly recommend you do it. Technically they don’t present any new material in the workshops but the exercises in them are very useful. They just repeat the lesson material. I strongly recommend this course to anyone looking to learn piano without a teacher. Oder man kauft gleich das große Paket.Die große Version bietet also zusätzliches Übungsmaterial zur Vertiefung an.Wer als Englischkundiger mit sehr viel Selbstdisziplin glaubt, auf einen leibhaftigen Lehrer verzichten zu können, der bekommt hier zum Preis von einem Monat den Unterricht mehrerer Monate.Wer den fachkundigen Blick auf die Fehler und den moralischen Tritt in den Hintern und die Antworten auf alle Fragen nicht nur aus dem Internet sucht, der geht zur Musikschule. Da gibt es heute ja auch schon einige, die nicht nur Beethoven drauf haben.Man sollte aber diese Video-Unterrichtsmethode nicht unterschätzen. Sie bietet durch das Mitspielen der CDs die Möglichkeit, mit Spass zu üben und das Timing zu lernen. Wer also schon ein anderes Instrument nach Noten gelernt hat, kann hier auch ohne Lehrer vergnügt herumklimpern und wird keine Langeweile haben. Pädagogisch ist das solide entwickeltes Filmmaterial.Es un buen método pero... es muy complicado aprender algo tan difícil como a tocar el piano usando solo un método de estos. Lo mismo pasa con la guitarra, etc. Pero lo que es el método no está nada mal, a parte que es motivador la manera de explicar del "profe" lo que pasa es que es un crack y es imposible que se ponga a un nivel bajo y suba progresivamente.Will Barrow spends an inordinate amount of time introducing the course and continues with playing the piano to his own satisfaction that after an eternity (it seems), I was forced to stop the DVD player and put away the disc back into the binder with no intention of getting back to it in a hurry. I will have to look into some other program online.
